CityCats are also available with stops at Bretts Wharf. The Portside Wharf in Hamilton lies along the Brisbane River bank and is an international cruise terminal.

Hamilton’s population is 6,995 according to the 2016 census, with a median age of 37 years. The females are more with a percentage of 50.9 against that of males, which stands at 49.1. Most people, 62.8%, were born in Australia; the rest have their country of birth as New Zealand, England, India, China or South Africa. 80.7% of private dwellings are occupied and consist of separate houses, flats, townhouses, semi-detached and terrace houses among others.

About 82% of the people in Clayfield speak English while the rest speak other languages including Italian, Mandarin, Punjabi, Hindi and Cantonese. 25% of homes available in Clayfield are fully owned, 28% are on home loan mortgage and the rest are rented. Houses range from single level units to contemporary multi-level dwellings.
